USDA Statistical Agencies to Hold a Data Users’ Meeting

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2012 – The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), in cooperation with the World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB), will hold the 2012 USDA Data Users’ Meeting on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 1 p.m. CDT at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chicago. At this meeting, statistical agencies will update data users on recent and pending changes in the various statistical and information programs important to agriculture and will seek comments and input on these programs.

Conducted annually, the meeting provides the USDA stakeholders with an opportunity to hold an open conversation with NASS and WAOB. Meeting participants will have a chance to comment and ask questions about the statistical programs. In addition to NASS and WAOB, the other participating statistical agencies include the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service, Economic Research Service and Foreign Agricultural Service, as well as the U.S. Census Bureau.

Individuals who wish to attend the 2012 USDA Data Users’ Meeting can register online at Hotel information and previous meeting minutes are available at the same website.
