NASS Announces Release Dates for 2009 County Crop Estimates

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) today announced publication dates for 2009 county crop production estimates.
NASS will publish county estimates for small grains, including wheat, barley and oats, on Friday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. ET.
NASS will publish county estimates for major row crops on Friday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. ET, with several exceptions. Because of weather-related harvest delays, NASS will publish the county estimates for corn in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin on Friday, March 26. The county estimates for corn in North Dakota and South Dakota will be published on a yet-to-be-determined date. For soybeans, NASS will publish the county estimates for Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia on Friday, March 26 at 3 p.m. ET.
