USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) Administrator Cynthia Clark today announced upcoming changes in the leadership of the Agricultural Statistics Board (ASB), precipitated by the retirement of current ASB Chair Carol House on March 3. Joe Prusacki, currently director of the NASS Statistics Division and executive director of the Agricultural Statistics Board, will act as ASB chair until a permanent replacement is named.
"Carol House dedicated her 34-year career to serving American agriculture with timely, accurate and useful statistics," said Administrator Clark. "Her leadership will be missed in the agricultural and statistical communities. However, she leaves NASS having been very effective at developing well-qualified employees who will continue her work."
The ASB was created in 1905 to safeguard the security of the more than 450 reports and estimates that NASS releases each year.
