NASS to Update Winter Wheat Harvested Acreage

Due to flooding that occurred in the midwest during June, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will ask Kansas and Oklahoma farm operators who were selected to participate in the June Agricultural Yield Survey to update their winter wheat acreages expected to be harvested for grain.
Any reported changes will be reflected in the August Crop Production report, to be released August 10. The report will include an updated yield and production for winter wheat based on both producer-reported data and on actual plant and fruit counts from fields sampled as part of the Objective Yield Survey. .
