NASS Expands Online Database
Issued November 6, 2009 by the Agricultural Statistics Board of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Agricultural Statistics Service. For more information contact Doug Farmer at (202) 720-7492.
The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) has expanded the data available through its agricultural statistics database, QuickStats, to include Fruit Chemical Usage data from 1991 to 2007. Previously, only Field Crops Chemical Usage data was available in QuickStats. The addition of the Fruit Chemical Usage data will provide database users easier access to the results of NASS’s Agricultural Chemical Usage program.
Fruit Chemical Usage information is gathered every two years, with the most recent data captured during the 2007 Apple Chemical Usage survey. Data collection for the 2009 survey is currently underway and the results will be available in July 2010.
