FLORIDA: The forecast of avocados for certified shipments is continued at 900,000 bushels. If realized this will be the second largest crop in four seasons surpassed only by last season's 1,005,000 bushels shipped.

  Estimated total shipments through January total 887,300 bushels. Weekly shipments are declining as the season is almost over.
CALIFORNIA:. Shipments as reported by the California Avocado Commission for the first three months of the season total 948,000 bushel equivalents, slightly more than last season to the same date. The total crop is projected to be about nine percent smaller than the previous season.
