FLORIDA: The forecast of avocados for certified shipments is continued at 950,000 bushels. This is five percent less than the 1,005,000 bushels shipped in the previous season. This will be the second largest amount shipped since the 1,111,000 bushels of the 1991-92 season.

  Estimated shipments through September total 577,400 bushels, nine percent less than last season. Bearing acreage is estimated at 5,900, slightly less than last season. Trees are in excellent condition and demand is reported good.

CALIFORNIA: One month remains in the marketing season. Shipments to date of Hass have exceeded earlier estimates of production. Shipments of the Hass variety continue with limited amounts in the other categories.
