Average high temperatures ranged from the lower 40's to the upper 50's. Average lows ranged from the upper 20's to the lower 40's. Soil moisture conditions were rated at 0% very short, 1% short, 52% adequate, and 47% surplus. Cold weather caused fields to freeze in some areas of the State. Other activities included feeding livestock and general poultry house work. County Extension Agents reported an average of 4.1 days suitable for fieldwork.
