An estimated 36.7 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, up 2 percent from the previous week and up 4 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 29.9 million, up 1 percent from the previous week and up 4 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Average hatchability for chicks hatched in Georgia was 82 percent.
