An estimated 32.7 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, slightly down from the previous week, and down 8 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 26.2 million, down 3 percent from the previous week, and down 6 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Average hatchability for chicks hatched in Georgia was 83 percent.
