An estimated 32.1 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, down 1 percent from the previous week and down 1 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 27.1 million, up 1 percent from the previous week and up 1 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Average hatchability for chicks hatched in Georgia was 84 percent.
