An estimated 32.3 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, down slightly from the previous week, but up 1 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 27.2 million, up slightly from the previous week and up 1 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Average hatchability for chicks hatched in Georgia was 84 percent.
