An estimated 32.6 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, up 2 percent from the previous week and up 3 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 27.0 million, up slightly from the previous week and up 3 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Average hatchability for chicks hatched in Georgia was 83 percent.
