An estimated 32.1 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, up slightly from the previous week and up 2 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 26.6 million, down 1 percent from the previous week and down 1 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Average hatchability for chicks hatched in Georgia was 83 percent.
