An estimated 32.8 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, up 3 percent from the previous week and up 9 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 26.0 million, up 2 percent from the previous week and up 4 percent from the comparable week a year earlier.
