An estimated 33.2 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, down 1 percent from the previous week, but up 6 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 27.3 million, up 1 percent from the previous week and up 6 percent from the comparable week a year earlier.
