An estimated 32.8 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, down 2 percent from the previous week but up 5 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 27.8 million, up 1 percent from the previous week and up 7 percent from the comparable week a year earlier.
