An estimated 33.1 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, up 1 percent from the previous week, and up 5 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 27.7 million, up 1 percent from the previous week, and up 7 percent from the comparable week a year earlier.
