An estimated 32.8 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, down 1 percent from the previous week, but up 5 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 27.6 million, down 1 percent from the previous week, but up 7 percent from the comparable week a year earlier.
