in-crop-weather State Indiana Crop Weather Week Ending Date October 11, 2009 IN-CW101109 AGRICULTURAL SUMMARY Rainy, cool weather continued to slow harvest of corn and soybeans as crops are slow to dry down and fields are too muddy to support equipment, according to the Indiana Field Office of USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Farmers are having trouble getting winter wheat planted due to wet soil conditions. FIELD CROPS REPORT There were 2.7 days suitable for field work during the week.
