Producers across the State averaged 13 days suitable for field work through the month. Topsoil moisture is rated as 2 percent very short, 17 percent short, 74 percent adequate, and 7 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture is rated as 2 percent very short, 14 percent short, 80 percent adequate, and 4 percent surplus. Field Crop Report: The wheat condition is rated as 1 percent very poor, 8 percent poor, 27 percent fair, 52 percent good, and 12 percent excellent. Wind damage to wheat has been rated 90 percent with no damage, 9 percent with light damage, and 1 percent with moderate damage. Freeze damage has been rated 89 percent with no damage, 9 percent with light damage, and 2 percent with moderate freeze damage. Feed Supplies Report: Feed grain supplies were rated as 1 percent very short, 4 percent short, 86 percent adequate, and 9 percent surplus. Hay and forage supplies were rated as 6 percent short, 83 percent adequate, and 11 percent surplus.
