Cotton producers were busy planting cotton, with percent planted increasing from 46% to 76%. Rice producers continued to plant rice, and rice conditions were looking good. Winter wheat conditions were good, with the percent turning color increasing to 91%, well ahead of the 5 year average. Sugarcane farmers were spraying for weeds. Fruits, Vegetables and Specialty Crops Warmer temperatures were helping vegetable conditions. Vegetable producers were selling tomatoes. Crawfish producers continued to drain their ponds. Livestock, Pasture and Range Report Pasture conditions were showing improvement due to the warmer weather and generally adequate moisture. Hay producers continued to cut hay, with percent of progress equal to the five year average.
