Early rice was at or near the green ring stage. Water weevil problems were reported in some of the rice fields. Rice producers fertilized fields and continued to apply herbicides. Soybean producers continued to plant. Sugarcane producers continued to fertilize fields and to lay-by cane. Fruits, Vegetables, and Specialty Crops Report Producers harvested strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and squash. Bell pepper fields were fertigated. Crawfish production continues to slow as producers drain ponds. Livestock, Pasture, and Range Report Hay baling was slowed by the rain.
