Some soybean fields were stressed by the wet conditions. Rice producers were spraying fungicides and scouting for cercospora. Sugarcane farmers were completing their lay-by operations and preparing fallow land. There were some reports of rust in sugarcane fields, but overall the warm and moist conditions were aiding in sugarcane growth. Fruits, Vegetables and Specialty Crops Vegetable producers were busy harvesting and selling produce. Some tomato plants were showing signs of bacteria wilt. Peach producers were harvesting. Crawfish producers were draining their ponds and repairing levees. Livestock, Pasture and Range Report Cattle producers were working cattle and breeding cows. Livestock producers were beginning to prepare for hot weather. Warm temperatures and adequate moisture were helping pasture conditions.
