Rice producers began harvesting rice. As pest populations decreased, cotton conditions improved. Sorghum producers began preparation for harvest. Soybean producers sprayed fungicides for prevention of Asian Soybean Rust.Sugarcane producers completed fallow land preparation. Fruits, Vegetables and Specialty Crops Harvesting of peaches edged closer to completion. Vegetable producers were preparing for fall crops. Crawfish producers were planting rice for food in ponds. Citrus producers sprayed for insects. Livestock, Pasture and Range Report The second cutting of hay was in full swing thanks to the break in daily showers. Cattlemen were marketing spring born calves.
