Sugarcane producers were busy harvesting. Mill reports indicated that sugar recovery was very good, although there were some reports of mud coming into the mills with the cane. Soybean producers were harvesting, with reports of good yields. Cotton harvest reached 75 percent, slightly behind the five year average of 79 percent. Fruits, Vegetables and Specialty Crops Strawberry producers were planting. Tomato producers were harvesting field and greenhouse tomatoes. Vegetable producers were selling greens, spraying cabbage for insects and working other fall crops. Citrus producers were selling satsumas. Crawfish producers were flooding ponds. Livestock, Pasture and Range Report Cattlemen were planting ryegrass. Livestock conditions were generally good, with 96 percent in fair or better condition.
