Soybean harvest was at ninety percent behind the five-year average of ninety-nine percent. Cotton harvest showed improvement at sixty-four percent but still behind the five year average of ninety-seven percent. Rice producers made ample progress on the harvest of the ratoon crop this week with sunny, dry weather conditions. Sugarcane planting was completed and harvest was at thirty-five percent which was equivalent to the five-year average. Fruits, Vegetables, and Specialty Crops Report Producers harvested greenhouse tomatoes and greens. Strawberry producers transplanted plants in fields. Citrus producers continued with the satsuma harvest. Crawfish producers tested ponds for production. Livestock, Pasture, and Range Report Sunny weather improved conditions, and cattlemen were able to complete the second cutting of hay.
