The rice ratoon harvest was winding down. Sugarcane producers were busy harvesting, with 50 percent of the harvest complete. Pecan harvest was well ahead of the 5-year average. Cotton producers finished harvesting their fields. Generally favorable weather conditions allowed wheat planted to reach 57 percent, well ahead of the 5-year average. The sweet potato harvest was nearing completion with 98 percent harvested. Fruits, Vegetables and Specialty Crops Vegetable producers were busy harvesting cole crops. Citrus producers were selling satsumas and navels. Crawfish producers were checking traps. Livestock, Pasture and Range Report Cattlemen were fertilizing pastures. Calf marketing was winding down.
