Sugarcane producers were busy harvesting with 71 percent of the harvest complete. Reports indicated that sugar recovery was above 200 pounds per ton. Winter wheat producers were busy planting. The recent rainfall helped the wheat crop with reports of excellent stands. Fruits, Vegetables and Specialty Crops Vegetable producers were busy harvesting greenhouse and field tomatoes and cabbage. Strawberry producers were harvesting and spraying fungicides to control diseases. Citrus producers were selling satsumas. Crawfish producers were testing traps for marketable crawfish. Livestock, Pasture and Range Report Cattlemen were fertilizing ryegrass pastures. Livestock conditions were generally good with 92 percent in fair or better condition.
