The rain slowed field activities. Crop conditions showed little to no improvement even with the rain. Rice producers were applying fungicides to fields. Soybean producers were applying herbicides and fungicides. Sweet potato planting was completed. Fallow land preparation was limited last week for sugarcane producers. Fruits, Vegetables, and Specialty Crops Report Harvesting of peaches continued to make good progress. Vegetable producers were selling crops and treating for diseases. Livestock, Pasture, and Range Report Pasture conditions showed improvement from the showers last week. Cattlemen were cutting hay and fertilizing pastures as weather permitted.
