Monthly Ag Yield Survey

The USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service, Montana Field Office will be conducting a monthly Ag Yield Survey for the months of May through October of this year. Producers in the monthly sample will be contacted beginning on or about the 29th day of the previous month and continue until approximately the 5th day of the survey month. This survey is important to help track the progress of crops in Montana and determine potential yields throughout the growing season.

Commodities in question will depend on the survey month, and often ask the yield breakout for irrigated vs. non-irrigated crops. All information supplied during the interview is kept confidential by law. Summarized results will be released to the public in the Crop Production Report, which is released around the 10th of each month.
