Field Crops Report

Recent warm temperatures have dried out some fields around the state, but harvest is still behind. Producers in the south central district have started harvesting corn for silage. Grasshoppers continue to be a concern in the state. The small grains are almost all turned. Conditions of dry peas and lentils are worse than last week but ratings are mostly fair to good. The sugar beet crop is in good to excellent condition.
