Daniels County, Montana


        Daniels County is situated in the northeastern
    corner of Montana, bordered on the south by the
    Fort Peck Indian Reservation and to the north by
    Canada. It was established in May 1920 and
    Scobey is the county seat. The land is mainly
    characterized by rolling prairie. The Poplar River,
    which eventually empties into the Missouri River,
    cuts through the middle of the county. The
    West Fork of the Poplar River crosses the
    southwestern corner of the county.
