Golden Valley County, Montana


        Golden Valley County occupies land in
    central Montana. Except for the extreme
    northwestern corner that is taken by a section of
    the Lewis and Clark National Forest and the Big
    Snowy Mountains, the land is characterized by
    rolling prairie. The Musselshell River runs
    the entire width of the county in the south.
    Ryegate is the county seat.
