Park County, Montana


        Park County is located in south central Montana
    along the Montana/Wyoming border. Almost
    the entire southern boundary of the county
    makes up the northern border of Yellowstone
    Park. The Yellowstone and Shields Rivers
    traverse the length of Park County and join near
    Livingston where they continue east into
    neighboring Sweet Grass County. Nearly
    two-thirds of the county is blanketed by the
    mountains of the Gallatin National Forest,
    which includes a major portion of the Absaroka-
    Beartooth Wilderness Area.
