Toole County, Montana

Toole County is located along the Montana/
Canadian border in north central Montana. The
county is largely made up of rolling prairie and
bench lands, except for the Sweet Grass Hills
in the northeastern quarter. The Marias River
traverses the southern tip of the county where

quarter. Oil fields, located near Sunburst
and Kevin, which were quite productive in the
1920s and 30s, are still in operation today.
