Valley County, Montana


        Valley County was created in 1893. Located
    in northeastern Montana, it stretches from the
    Canadian border on the north to its southern
    boundary along the Missouri River and Fort Peck
    Lake. The Milk River traverses the county
    diagonally. Valley County is one of the largest
    counties in the state. A good portion of the
    eastern half of the county is occupied by part
    of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. Glasgow
    is the county seat.
