Hill County, Montana


        Hill County is located along the Montana/
    Canadian border midway between the east and
    west borders of the state. The county is traversed
    by the Milk River which empties into the Fresno
    Reservoir at the Fresno Dam near the county's
    center. At the tip of the Fresno Reservoir,
    the Milk River turns north, continues through
    Hill County and on into Canada. A major
    portion of the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation
    is located in the southeastern corner of the
    county. A portion of the Bear Paw Mountains
    occupies the southeastern corner as well.
