Powder River County, Montana


        Powder River County is situated in the
    extreme southeastern part of Montana, with the
    county's southern boundary making up part of
    the Montana/Wyoming border. The northern and
    eastern districts of the county are largely
    composed of rolling prairie. The Powder and
    Little Powder Rivers traverse the eastern half
    of the county from north to south. A good
    portion of the western half of the county is
    occupied by a section of the Custer National
    Forest.
