Rosebud County, Montana


        Rosebud County was established in February
    1901 and is located in the southeastern corner of
    Montana. The Yellowstone River runs through the
    heart of the county. It is made up primarily of
    rangeland, both to the north and south of the River.
    However, the extreme southeastern corner is
    occupied by a portion of the Custer National
    Forest. The Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation
    also occupies a portion of the southern tip of
    Rosebud County.
