Inventory is the number on hand January 1 of the following year. The United States totals show the actual number of feedlots, inventory, and number of animals marketed in each size group. The sum of the numbers shown by States under a specified size group may or may not add to the United States total for that size group since for some States size groups are combined to avoid disclosing individual operations. /2 Lots, inventory, and marketings from other size groups are included to avoid disclosing individual operations.
