2005 CASH RECEIPTS UP SLIGHTLY

Cash receipts from New York farm marketings in 2005 totaled $3.63 up slightly from the 2004 total. Receipts from livestock and poultryproducts were $2.30 billion. Crop sales increased to $1.33 billion for 2005. Dairy product sales fell to $1.91 billion, over one-half of the total sales.

New York Cash Receipts From Farm Marketings By County is a series of data we have developed in response to requests from our data users. Estimates for 2004 are preliminary. The allocation of farm income to counties uses information collected by the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA=s Economic Research Service, and the 2002 Census of Agriculture.
