State level estimates were made for Land Values and Cash Rents while county level estimates for Cash Rents will be available in September 2010. The U.S. farm real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, averaged $2,140 per acre on January 1, 2010, up 1.4 percent from 2009. New York farm real estate value average per acre of $2,400 was equal to last year. The New York cropland average value per acre increased from $2,200 last year to $2,300 in 2010. New York pasture average value per acre was $1,050, even with last year. Nationally, cash rents per acre paid to landlords for cropland in 2010 rose $3.00, while pasture rents remained unchanged. New York cropland cash rent per acre decreased slightly from $44.00 in 2009 to $43.50 in 2010. Pasture cash rent per acre was not disclosed due to confidentiality rules. Cash Rent county estimates will be released in mid-September 2010.
