Temperatures were a few degrees warmer on Tuesday, with highs in the 80s statewide. A weak cold front moved across the state on Wednesday and dropped temperatures a bit, with highs generally in the 70s under dry conditions. A stronger cold front brought much cooler temperatures and rainfall to the state on Thursday and Friday. Most areas received some rainfall, with the heaviest rain falling in the northern half of the state. Temperatures were very cool with highs in the upper 50s northeast to the upper 60s southwest. The weekend saw fair conditions and pleasant temperatures, with highs in the 70s statewide. Outlook, June 12-18: Temperatures will be above average for the majority of the week. Look for scattered showers and thunderstorms across the western half of the state on Monday. That chance of rain will move into the northeastern portions of the state by early Tuesday. High temperatures will range from the upper 70s north to the mid-80s south. Mostly dry conditions and seasonable temperatures will be in store for midweek. There will be a slight chance of storms across the west late on Tuesday. Warm, moist air will move across the state from the south. A disturbance moving in from the west along with an increasingly unstable atmosphere will set the stage for widespread thunderstorms across the state. Some storms may become severe in the central areas early and in the eastern areas late on Thursday. Temperatures will be warm, with highs in the 80s through the end of the week and into the weekend.
