RAMEY REYNOLDSBURG, OH (614) 728-2100 Corn stocks in all positions in Ohio on March 1, 2010 totaled 324.2 million bushels, 36 percent above the 237.9 million bushels stored on March 1, 2009. On-farm stocks, at 200.0 million bushels accounted for 62 percent of the total stored. Off-farm stocks increased 31.3 million bushels from a year ago to 124.2 million bushels. Soybean stocks in all positions in Ohio totaled 85.8 million bushels on March 1, up 31 percent from last year at this time. On-farm stocks at 50.0 million bushels, accounted for 58 percent of total stocks compared to 50 percent last year. Off-farm stocks increased 10 percent from March 1, 2009 to 35.8 million bushels. All wheat stocks totaled 67.2 million bushels on March 1, up 24 percent from a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 63.7 million bushels, account for 95 percent of total stocks. On-farm stocks, at 3.5 million bushels are up 150 percent from March of last year. U. S. Corn stocks in all positions on March 1, 2010 totaled 7.69 billion bushels, up 11 percent from March 1, 2009. Of the total stocks, 4.55 billion bushels are stored on farms, up 11 percent from a year earlier. Off-farm stocks, at 3.15 billion bushels, are up 10 percent from a year ago. The December 2009 - February 2010 indicated disappearance is 3.23 billion bushels, compared with 3.12 billion bushels during the same period last year. U. S. Soybeans stored in all positions on March 1, 2010 totaled 1.27 billion bushels, down 2 percent from March 1, 2009. Soybean stocks stored on farms are estimated at 609 million bushels, down 7 percent from a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 661 million bushels, are up 2 percent from last March. Indicated disappearance for the December 2009 - February 2010 quarter totaled 1.07 billion bushels, up 10 percent from the same period a year earlier. U. S. all wheat stored in all positions on March 1, 2010 totaled 1.35 billion bushels, up 30 percent from a year ago. On-farm stocks are estimated at 348 million bushels, up 24 percent from last March. Off-farm stocks, at 1.00 billion bushels, are up 32 percent from a year ago.
