INTRODUCTION
This report summarizes the results of a June 1999 survey of over 2,200 South Dakota wheat producers. Approximately 800 reported winter wheat and 1,400 reported spring wheat. Percents and acreage data are included at both the state and agricultural district levels for winter and spring wheat.

This survey is conducted on an intermittent basis. Comparable surveys were last completed in 1991 and 1996. Extra copies are available upon request. Thanks to all the producers who supplied data making this report possible.
HIGHLIGHTS
