SD-CROP-LIVESTOCK NOVEMBER PRICES RECEIVED MIXED SIOUX FALLS, December 1, 2005 -- Preliminary November prices were up from October for all barley, all hay and alfalfa, according to the South Dakota Office of USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Preliminary prices for calves were up, while swine and all beef cattle were down. The preliminary all wheat price for November, at $3.61, was down 11 cents from last month but up 9 cents from last year. The winter wheat price, at $3.32, was down 13 cents from last month but up 9 cents from last November. The spring wheat price, at $3.82, was 10 cents lower than last month but 12 cents higher than last year. The November soybean price, at $5.35, was 10 cents lower than last month but 14 cents higher than last year. The corn price, at $1.52, was down 8 cents from last month and down 24 cents from last year. The preliminary all sunflower price, at $9.53, was down $1.57 from last month and down $2.27 from last year. The preliminary November all hog price, at $46.00, was down $1.90 from last month and $10.70 below last year. Barrows and gilts, at $47.20, were down $1.60 from last month and down $11.40 from last year, while sows, at $37.80, were down $3.10 from October and down $6.10 from November 2004. The preliminary November all beef cattle price, at $103.00, was down $7.00 from last month but up $8.80 from last year. Steers and heifers, at $115.00, were down $3.00 from October but up $11.00 from November of last year. Calves, at $143.00, were up $2.00 from last month and up $14.00 from November 2004. The all hay price for November, at $64.00 per ton, was up $5.00 from October but unchanged from last year. The alfalfa price, at $67.00 per ton, was up $4.00 from last month but down $1.00 from last year. The other hay price, at $51.00, was up $1.00 from last month and up $2.00 from November 2004.
