The
Agricultural Statistics Department is a joint venture between Purdue University
Agricultural Research Programs and the United States Department of Agriculture's National
Agricultural Statistics Service. The Agricultural Statistics Department publishes current
and historic statistics concerning agriculture in INDIANA and the United States.
Nearly 400 reports are issued annually at
predetermined dates. Reports cover most all facets of agriculture including crops, fruit
& vegetables, livestock, dairy, poultry, prices, farm labor, weather-crop reports,
cash receipts, aquaculture, and other items of interest. In addition to State estimates,
county estimates are published for major commodities. An annual bulletin is also published
containing past year statistics for most commodities.
