1/    Preliminary marketing year average price estimates for 1997. Marketing year average prices do not include allowances for outstanding loans, government purchases, deficiency payments, or disaster payments. Value of production estimates in this report relate to the crop year, which is different from cash receipts, which relate to sales during a calendar year, irrespective of the year of production.
2/    The marketing year average price per ton included in this report for hay represents the average price received by producers for hay actually sold and not the derived price representing the average value per ton of all hay produced.
