1997 CASH RECEIPTS


Cash receipts from farm marketings in Kansas during 1997 are estimated at $9.00 billion, up 20 percent from 1996, according to Kansas Agricultural Statistics (see table 1). Livestock receipts increased 10 percent while crops receipts increased 34 percent. Cattle and wheat accounted for the largest cash receipts in Kansas at $4.35 billion and $1.50 billion, respectively.
